How to Write an Essay
Essays are very important in students’ lives. Some students tired of writing essays for universities, schools, jobs, etc. because it takes a long time for some students, and it is difficult to think in a short period of time especially when trying follow university application, deadlines. However, it is quite easy if you follow these uncomplicated steps to write a good essay.
First of all, think about the topic. Think about what you are going to write. After choosing your topic, decide, which kind of essay it is going to be. For instance, is it going to explain a process, to classify something, or discuss causes and effects? After making this decision, get some details about it by surfing websites or conducting interviews with people asking them specific questions that focus on your topic.
After you will get some information about your topic, start to make your outline. Your outline should have the details that you have gotten from your online research and your interviews. Also details should be classified as to which paragraph they belong. Before writing your details, write a good topic sentence for each paragraph. With that, you will achieve good organization for your essay. Once you finish writing your outline, you are ready to start your essay, which always starts with the introduction and ends with the conclusion.
Next, begin to write the introduction for your essay. Think about starting the paragraph with a hook such as an interesting question or a quotation about your topic to make readers curious. Then, write your thesis statement and controlling idea. That will structure your essay. Once this is done, start to write your body. The body should have at least three-paragraphs, which will include your specific details and examples. Finally, begin to write the conclusion, which summarizes the essay that you have been writing. While you are writing the conclusion, don’t add new ideas. If you write a new idea that means you will need to write a new paragraph. The conclusion should bring your essay to an end.
